Starting Anew

They say the Philippines is 20 years behind when it comes to technological advances. Well maybe not so much anymore but to a certain degree this still holds true. You get the picture.

Anyway with that as a given, it becomes a bit easier for a geek like me to become an early adapter, a pioneer of some sorts around these parts.

I find it funny that blogging is slowly becomming the “in” thing at work nowadays. After all I’ve been blogging since the late nineties and have long left that for a new trend called Podcasting. I guess my biggest problem is that I tend to I set out with a task so grand, that I get overwhelmed, loose steam and then fall short by the wayside.

I stopped writing when my laptop broke down in 2003. My creative juices seem to be restricted by constants such as a desktop computer being fixed to a particular place. I like the ability to bring my computer anywhere and write whenever I feel like it. Getting this PowerBook in Decmeber of 2004 has rekindled an old flame, I’ve gone back to web and graphic design among other projects.

When I started michaeljosh.com in 2000 I used the tag line, “bringing ideas to life.” My website was to be a catch-all for everything that went into my head; visuals into websites, graphics or photos and thoughts into writing. Fast forward to 2005 and my vision hasn’t changed much. With a bigger and better web host and a site redesign well underway, I feel that it is time to come full circle and start writing again.

I’ve yet to think up a creative name for this blog, as well as design my own template. In the meantime please feel free to let me know how you feel, write a comment or send me an e-mail. You can also leave a voice mail at +1-206-202-JOSH.

Cheers!
